Do you remember the movie The Manchurian Candidate? There's a congressman John Iselin (played by John Gregory) on a campaign against communism who keeps insisting there are "known communists" deep in the structure of our own government. He brings the subject up three times in the movie.

     One time there are 207 known communists, then there are 104 known communists, and, finally, there are 57 known communists. The number keeps changing and the absurdity of the changing numbers is the movie's way of showing how absurd Congressman Iselin's claim is.

     Now I'm driving around Phoenix looking at the vaccination signs: 6.5 million, 3.7 million, 6.8 million, 3.8 million, 7 million, 4 million, 4.1 million, 7.8 million, 4.2 million, and then 7.9 million. Am I the only one who thinks that's funny or sad?
